HONDURAS UPDATE

  Building

 Complex

Much was accomplished during my latest Honduras trip.  According to our attorney, our ministry papers are at 90%!  Thanks to Stephen Gault and his team at Portico Ministries, we were able to put a roof on the second dorm building that we built in September, build a septic tank, build eight bunkbeds, and tile the bathhouse. We are currently in the process of tiling the first dorm.

INFAH (the organization similar to our CPS) is in transition to becoming a new organization.  As we are preparing to open this home, please pray that the new organization will be favorable to us and that they will help us find children to bring into the home.

Our greatest need at the moment in Honduras is transportation.  We have located a brand new (with 3 year warranty) 2013 4-door, 4-wheel drive delivery truck that we can purchase for $20,500.00.  We are currently looking for donors to partner together to help us meet this need.  If you would like to help, please contact me at 214-354-9656.

God has opened many doors for ministry in Honduras in the very near future and we are looking forward to the opportunities God is placing before us!

AN UPDATE FROM CRAICRAIG & CHERIEG & CHERIE

IN KENYA…

Dear Friends,

God is good!  I am happy to say that the children are staying well, no cases of malaria, only a few mild colds. There have been a few scrapes, etc. but no serious injuries, Praise the Lord! They have been in final school exams this past week and school will be out for the holidays soon. We are buying a goat to cook for Thanksgiving to share with all who will be here, since we won’t be home for Thanksgiving and we’d like to just set aside that day to express thankfulness for all that God is doing here at the home and in all of our lives.

Hero's Day
Catherine and Hellen at Hero’s Day

We recently attended Shujaa (Hero’s Day) with Calvince,  very similar to our Veteran’s day celebrations where Greg was honored as one of the community heroes. Some of our girls were part of the entertainment. It was all very nice!

Little lambWe have two new additions to our “Carry the Light” family –  a little lamb and our farmer, Wilson, has a new baby girl named Monique. (Wilson is the one who has recently given his heart to the Lord and is attending church on a regular basis.)

Pastor Joshua’s church in Usigu has grown from 7 to around 50 since we built the church building back in September.  Many of the people are newly saved.

Craig and I continue to disciple the CTL staff. One of the teachers testified that these gatherings have been life changing for her and that she feels it has brought all of them closer in unity. God has opened doors to train pastors and for open air evangelism in the little fishing community down the road.  We are so thankful for all He is doing and accomplishing here with the children and this Ministry.
