Dear Friends and Family,

Here is an update on our most recent trip to Kenya and India.  I was blessed to have two teams join me – one from Reno, Nevada and one from the Dallas area.  They worked very hard and much was accomplished.

Please join us in praying for Kenya in the wake of the Islamic based terrorist attack on Saturday, 9/21/2013 in a shopping mall in Nairobi.  The 4 day siege on the Westgate Mall left many dead and many more wounded. Please pray that the people will turn to Christ in this time of national mourning.

I was honored to speak again this year at the AGC Conference in Kisumu.  Scott and Tim also shared and the ladies held a special session for the women.  Once of the hightlights to the conference was a Kid Life Kids Crusade for the children and adult onlookers in Kisumu as pictured below.  It was wonderful outreach and many gave their lives to Christ.

329We have had an amazing and busy Summer here at the home. We all enjoyed  the visiting teams and their ministry.  This Summer has been life changing for the children and, as always, we adults are always profoundly touched during the time of special events, working as a team, ministering to the children and staff, and having fellowship with one another in a common cause.  The children just started back to school after a 3 week holiday and they all seem happy to be back.  I (Cherie) have started a weekly devotion / prayer/ bible study time with the teen girls. They seem really open to sharing and bless me so much.  We feel blessed to be here serving the Lord in this capacity and we pray God’s blessing on all of you.  We are so thankful for all that you do in His name.

Among the many things accomplished on this trip was the completion of the roof of the left wing of the school building and the center bricking that will become the main hall. There were also five slabs poured and solar panels installed in the school.  This allows needed tutoring to take place after school.

The right wing of the Carry the Light Christian Academy building received a new coat of paint and a designer paint job.  Each of our children took part by adding their handprint.  It looks awesome!

After sending the teams home from a very successful trip, Scott and I traveled on to India to meet up with Jamison Titus of Christ For India.  There were many ministry opportunities.  I had the privilege of teaching at their Bible College and the students were very eager to learn more about God.

We also got to present Kid Life to 700 of their school children.  The kids loved it and even the College students wanted us to teach them the fun motions to the songs.  God moved in great ways.

We also have several children at our home in Honduras (this is Belsy) who need partial sponsors.

Thank you for the support you give to this ministry both prayerfully and monetarily.  In this time of world turmoil it is so good to know that I have an army standing with me.  I believe we are poised to see a great move of God and I am so grateful to be doing His work. Glory to God!
Sincerely,
